Deprecation of GPT-4o in Copilot Chat

As of August 6, 2025, the GPT-4o model has been officially deprecated in Copilot Chat and is no longer available. GPT-4.1 is now the recommended model and offers improved performance and capabilities for all users.

This deprecation is for Copilot Chat only (including ask, edit, and agent modes) in supported IDEs, github.com/copilot, and GitHub mobile apps. Copilot still uses GPT-4o for code completions.
